True Speed Communication is one of twelve companies that fall under the corporate umbrella of True Speed Enterprises, a privately held company owned by two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart. Mike Arning, Stewart's long-time publicist, is True Speed Communication's vice president and director of public relations. He has almost 20 years worth of motorsports marketing and public relations experience, ranging from the grassroots level NASCAR Weekly Series to the premier NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Arning formed True Speed Communication in 2003 knowing that a motorsports savvy agency was needed to help guide the investments of Fortune 500 companies and their sponsorship efforts. Once a sponsorship platform was created by a company, the company and the mainstream agencies that represented the company struggled in navigating the world of motorsports, despite being top-notch in executing events. True Speed helps guide companies through the various series in which their motorsports dollars are spent, then follows through with their sponsorship by creating a comprehensive plan that leverages their investment, both in the media and in the marketplace.
